Listen to an exclusive evening with three giants of UK film presented by Norwich University of the Arts.
In March 2015 Norwich University of the Arts brought the drama of filmmaking to the Norwich Playhouse in an exclusive evening with three giants of UK film as part of its 170th anniversary celebrations.
Known for directing stories of torrid love triangles in two of his most famous films including Dangerous Liaisons and The Grifters, Director Stephen Frears talked about life behind the lens to iconic British actor Sir John Hurt and screen industry champion Film London’s Adrian Wootton. In a discussion about storytelling and the creative decisions made in bringing a director’s vision to life, the three shared their experiences of making cinema. With a shared focus on stories often involving individuals living on the fringes of society, the evening was punctuated with clips of films we all know and love and concluded with questions from the audience.
