Fashion Studios

Located in the Guntons building our Fashion Studios include a variety of equipment that enable students to explore cutting edge garment design and construction.

Resources include large cutting tables, machine areas, and a large range of Alvanon and Kennet & Lindsell mannequins.

You will have access to:

  • Industrial and domestic sewing machines
  • Industrial pressing and fusing equipment
  • Specialist pattern cutting tables and professional mannequins
  • Design hardware such as laser cutters available in the digital design workshops.
  • Located adjacent to our Design Studio students also have easy access to Mac Labs installed with Fashion Design software Clo3D as well as Design classics such as Photoshop, Illustrator.

The Fashion Studios with integrated Workshops are fully fitted with industrial machinery and equipment. The main Workshop area is located in GU91 on the ground floor of the Guntons building, with additional equipment situated within GU81 (ground floor) and GU100 (first floor).

The workshop is integrated within the fashion courses studio spaces, enabling specialist support and equipment to be available to these students as required.

A photo of an art installation from the project: Urbanity from the Ocean, called TRANSFORMATIVE COOPERATION.
