Apply for postgraduate study
Apply for a postgraduate course
Applicants for Master of Arts (MA) or Master of Architecture (MArch) study at NUA are typically expected to have a BA (Hons) / BSc degree of 2:1 or above (or equivalent) in a subject related to their proposed course of study.
Applicants who hold a degree from another discipline may also be considered, subject to the submission of a satisfactory portfolio of art, design or media-related work in support of their application.
Most MA or MArch Architecture course applicants will be invited to attend an interview. The interview is our opportunity to evaluate your work and application, and your chance to ask us any questions and assess NUA’s staff, campus and facilities.
There’s no formal deadline for applying for postgraduate study but we recommend you submit your application by 25 August in the year you wish to start. This will allow time for your interview to take place and the necessary paperwork to be processed if you are offered a place.
Apply for an MA or MArch course
Applications to postgraduate courses should be made directly to Norwich University of the Arts by completing an Application Form, below.
Detach the Reference Form and forward it to your chosen referee with a request to complete and return to NUA at the address indicated.
Email your completed form to firstname.lastname@example.org or post to:
Norwich University of the Arts
3 – 7 Redwell St
We will endeavour to contact you within two weeks of receiving both your application and a reference from your nominated referee. If your application is acceptable, we will arrange for a date for interview.
Please return your MA or MArch application to email@example.com.
If you’re invited to interview, we’ll ask you to bring a portfolio of recent work. You’ll be interviewed by one or more members of the course team, who will ask you about your work, your applicant’s statement and your motivation for postgraduate study.
Interviews normally last around thirty minutes and you’ll have a chance to ask the course team questions. We will endeavour to let you know if you have been successful within ten days of your interview.
