    Apply for a postgraduate course

Applicants for Master of Arts (MA) or Master of Architecture (MArch) study at NUA are typically expected to have a BA (Hons) / BSc degree of 2:1 or above (or equivalent) in a subject related to their proposed course of study.

Applicants who hold a degree from another discipline may also be considered, subject to the submission of a satisfactory portfolio of art, design or media-related work in support of their application.

For our MA courses you will be required to fill in our application form and send in your portfolio which will be reviewed by our academics. Those who are applying for the MArch will be asked to interview.

    Application deadline

There’s no formal deadline for applying for postgraduate study but we recommend you submit your application by 25 August in the year you wish to start. This will allow time for the necessary paperwork to be processed if you are offered a place.

International students requiring a visa are advised to apply as soon as possible in the year they wish to start. For further advice please contact international@nua.ac.uk
