Courses
Norwich University of the Arts (NUA) offers three year undergraduate BA and BSc courses and one year postgraduate MA courses in a range of creative subjects. There are also four year undergraduate degree courses available.
Applying
Applications for all our undergraduate courses, BA or BSc courses should be made via UCAS.
For MA courses you can apply directly to NUA; please contact the Admissions Office for all direct application forms. NUA will accept applications up to 5 weeks before the start of term. Courses commence in September only.
After applying
After completing the application, candidates from Europe must submit a digital portfolio of creative work. Candidates are supplied step by step guidance throughout the process.
2020 tuition fees for European students
EU students are eligible for a tuition fee loan from the UK government, meaning you wont have to pay your fees up front. Further details about tuition fee loans are provided below.

Undergraduate Year 1 entry

Year 0 entry
All undergraduate degrees at NUA will offer a Year 0 option from 2020 (subject to validation). With the exception of BA (Hons) Acting and BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing and Business, which are scheduled for 2021.
The Year 0 option has lower academic requirements to the typical three year degrees. If you would like to discuss the entry requirements for Year 0 entry contact the Admissions Office to discuss in more detail.
Postgraduate academic requirements
BA (Hons) or BSc degree with a 2:1 or equivalent in a subject related to your proposed course of study. Contact the Admissions Office to discuss your qualification.
English requirements
Students from Europe may be asked to complete an English language qualification. BA and MA applicants are required to have a minimum IELTS exam score of 6.0 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in each section. We also accept some alternatives to IELTS which you can find on the International Apply page.

Austria – Reifeprüfung / Matura with a minimum grade 3 or above.
Belgium – Certificat d’Enseignement Secondaire Superieur / Certificat de Qualification 6 Diploma von Hoger Secondaire Onderwijs/Getuigschrift an overall grade of 6/10 or 12/20 depending on grading system.
Bulgaria – Diploma za Sredno Obrazovanie an overall grade of 4 (dobur) or above.
Cyprus – Apolyterion with an overall average of 17 or above (to include 16 or above in Maths and key subjects) plus a foundation course OR 2 A levels at grade BB.
Czech Republic – Maturita / Secondary School Leaving certificate with an overall average of 3 or above.
Denmark – Bevis for Studentereksamen / Højere Forberedelseseksamen / Højere Handelseksamen (HHX) / Højere Teknisk Eksamen (HTX) with an overall average of 8 or above.
Estonia – Gümnaasiumi lõputunnistus (Secondary School Certificate) at grade 12 with an overall average of 4 or above and successfully completed Estonian university matriculation examination (Riigieksamitunnistus).
Finland – Ylioppilastutkinto / studentexamen (Matriculation Examination) with an overall average of M/5 or above.
France – French Baccalaureat with an overall grade of 12 or above.

Germany – Zeugnis der Allgemeinen Hochschulreife / Abitur with an overall grade of 2 or above.
Greece – Year 12 Upper Secondary school certificate – Apolyterion of Lykeio with an overall average of 16 or above plus a foundation course OR 2 A levels at grade BB.
Hungary – Erettsegi / Erettsegi Bizonyitvany with an overall average of 3 or above.
Ireland – Irish Leaving Certificate passed at Higher/Honours level with grades BBBBBB
Italy – Esame di Stato with an average mark of 70 or above.
Latvia – Atestats par visparejo videjo izglitibu (Certificate of General Secondary Education) OR Diploma par augstako arodizglitibu with an overall average of 8/9 or above.
Lithuania – Brandos Atestatas with an overall average of 8 or above.
Luxembourg – Diplome de Fin d’Etudes Secondaires OR Diplome de Fin d’Etudes Secondaires Techniques with an overall grade of 40/Bien or above.
Malta – Advanced Matriculation OR Matriculation Certificate Examination (from the University of Malta) with grades BBB or above.

Netherlands – Voorbereidend Wetenschappelijk Onderwijs (VWO) with an overall grade of 7 or above.
Poland – Swiadectwo Dojrzalosci / Matura with an overall average of 70% or above, including two subjects taken at the higher level.
Portugal – Certificado de fim de Estudos Secundarios OR Bacharel/ Bacharelato with an overall average of 3 or above.
Romania – Diploma de Bacalaureat with an overall average of 8 or above.
Slovakia – Maturitná skúška / Maturita (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) with an overall average of 3 or above.
Slovenia –
Spain – Titulo de Bachiller an overall average of 7 or above.
Sweden – Avgångsbetyg / Slutbetyg från Gymnasieskola (Upper Secondary School Leaving Certificate) with an overall average of C / 15 or above.
