Shadow Business Secretary tours NUA campus

Norwich University of the Arts welcomed Shadow Business Secretary Chuka Umunna for a tour of its campus on Tuesday. He was joined by MEP for East of England Richard Howitt, and Labour candidates Jess Asato and Clive Lewis. The visitors met with staff and students in the University’s design and media facilities as they prepared their work for the NUA Degree Shows in July.

Chuka Umunna later tweeted: “Great to visit NUA this noon…An impressive 93% of students graduate from NUA into work!”

Professor John Last, Vice-Chancellor of NUA, says: “We were delighted to welcome Shadow Business Secretary Chuka Umunna and his colleagues to NUA. During their visit to our Fashion Studios, Design Studios and Media Labs, our staff and students provided an insight into how professional practice and business skills are integrated into all our courses. We hope they came away with the sense that Norwich University of the Arts is at the centre of the city’s burgeoning digital creative industries and our graduates are providing a highly employable resource for the future of creative business in the region and the UK.”
