An exhibition of challenging and intriguing new art has open in the Norwich University of the Arts (NUA) buildings in the city centre for one week in September, as masters students completing their postgraduate studies exhibit their final art works for the public.

The NUA MA Degree Show 2010 opened to the public on Friday 10th September with free entry to view works from students graduating from Animation & Sound Design; Art, Design & Education; Design; Digital Arts; Drawing; Fine Art; Managing Creative Enterprise; Photographic Studies; Textile Culture; and Writing the Visual.
“Our postgraduate students enjoy highly qualified specialist teaching and are immersed in a creative and challenging environment, which has consistently turned out artists that are innovative in their thinking and creativity,” says NUA Vice-Chancellor John Last. “This tends to result in an end-of-year exhibition which presents work that is the resolution of intense focus and theoretical rigour.”
The pieces will be on display in the St Georges building and The Gallery at NUA, both on St Georges Street near St Andrews Hall, between the hours of 10am and 4pm until Tuesday 14th September (except Sunday).
Staff and students featured in NUA press releases are available for further comment.
Our academic staff are leading practitioners and researchers in the fields of the arts, design and media. They are available to provide expert comment on regional, national and international news stories related to higher education and the creative arts.
All camera crews and photographers need advance permission to operate on the NUA campus. Alternatively the University has a wealth of photography and footage which can be provided on request.
Members of the press are welcome to attend all events at NUA. Most exhibitions on the campus, including the Degree Shows, will have a private view event in advance of the public opening for the press and special guests. Details of these events are available on request.
We are delighted to arrange campus tours and on-campus interviews with staff and students.
