MA Communication Design
As a designer I have a particular interest in publications, and generating new content in exciting but meaningful ways. The psychological reasons we gravitate towards one design above another, why we value humour so highly, and how paramount it is in cultivating an engaging society of designers and consumers are also important questions.
In my MA project “30 things in 30 days” was sparked by George Bernard Shaw’s quote “life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself” . This led me to consider whether I could create a better version of myself, defined as the ‘happiest’, and I researched happiness in the media, through experience, design and the economy.
Through my research I discovered the best form of happiness comes from experience, even bad ones becoming character building or anecdotes. Through completing 30 new things in 30 days I gained 30 new experiences, hopefully creating the happiest version of myself. I have documented it so that others can be inspired to take on the 30 things in 30 days challenge.
What will your “30|30 challenge” do for you?
