Moving Image and Sound
My current research has been largely concerned with the development of characters and organic forms; pushing the boundaries of my work conceptually and technically by contemplating the past in modernity. The revival of historical figures and sites has been instrumental to my practice and has played a critical part in work I have developed in conjunction with Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery. The central aim of this project was to re-visualise the grandeur of the medieval site during the reign of Henry I, using digital platforms to visualise historic environments and artefacts for a new audience.
My research considers the possibilities for an expanded digital experience to include multi-sensory engagement including 2D and 3D visualisations, sound design and 3D printing. I aim to create a bridge from past to present, to create both digital and physical productions for animations, films, and games.
