Norwich University of the Arts (NUA) is a successful specialist university, offering high quality education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. We are now seeking an academic champion and leader for the Faculty of Media. A key area of growth has been in Media where there are now c600 undergraduate students. BA courses within the Faculty are Film & Moving Image Production, Animation, Photography and Games Art & Design. NUA also offers postgraduate awards in Communication Design, Curation, Fashion, Fine Art, Moving Image & Sound, Photography and Textile Design.
To reflect a developing estate in support of these awards the University now seeks to appoint an innovative academic leader as Dean of Media. You will have a successful career in media education or the creative industries and in addition to significant experience of leadership you will have personal expertise and national credibility within the field of Media as a researcher or practitioner. The University seeks someone who will champion the awards and embrace the values we have of specialism, excellence and employability.
You will be passionate and knowledgeable about the media, interested in joining a small, specialist university and want to become a member of a senior team that work closely together with values based upon team work and collegiality. A Professorial title may be available to an appropriately qualified candidate.

Our academic staff are leading practitioners and researchers in the fields of the arts, design and media. They are available to provide expert comment on regional, national and international news stories related to higher education and the creative arts.
All camera crews and photographers need advance permission to operate on the NUA campus. Alternatively the University has a wealth of photography and footage which can be provided on request.
Members of the press are welcome to attend all events at NUA. Most exhibitions on the campus, including the Degree Shows, will have a private view event in advance of the public opening for the press and special guests. Details of these events are available on request.
