International Postgraduate Study at NUA

NUA postgraduates are a unique community of mature practitioners, experienced professionals and early academics who return to formal education for a variety of reasons.

The application requires you to exhibit intellectual and creative sensibilities that will sustain the practice-based research you will undertake during the course. It is also important that your interests are appropriately and sufficiently supported by the academic staff and facilities at NUA. We encourage you to read the relevant pages on our website and contact the University in advance of making an application if you have concerns about the suitability of the course to your interests.

Applications to all postgraduate courses should be made directly to the Norwich University of the Arts using an MA Application Form.

When you complete the application, please submit it via email at international@nua.ac.uk or by post to:

International Office
Norwich University of the Arts
Francis House
3-7 Redwell Street

Entry requirements

MA applicants would be expected to hold an undergraduate degree (BA/BSc) with a minimum result of 2:1 or its equivalent in a subject related to your proposed course of study. Degrees from other disciplines may be permissible. Find out about the English language requirements for an international applicant on the Your Country section.

What happens after you apply

If you meet the necessary academic requirements, you will be asked to submit a portfolio of creative work in support of your application. A decision about your application will be made shortly thereafter and you will be informed via email. A decision will not be given at the interview.

Portfolio guidance

Once you submit your application, you will be asked to provide a digital portfolio of your work. Comprehensive portfolio guidelines are available on the MA course page.
