Senior Lecturer – Animation and Visual Effects
We are seeking to recruit a high calibre experienced Animation and Visual Effects professional to our team of Lecturers.
Animation and Visual Effects at NUA was successfully established with the support of industry partners from key advisors like the UK Screen Alliance and Screen Skills, as well as the major UK visual effects companies including The Mill, Framestore, MPC. Some of the best visual effects companies in the world, from ILM to MPC and DNEG have provided masterclasses, delivering specialist workshops to our students.
We are particularly eager to expand our pool of industry experienced academic staff who can deliver animation and visual effects teaching across the four years of the course, from introductory fundamentals to more advance industry practice.
You will possess excellent communication, organisation and management skills and be a highly driven team player. You will have the ability to support students in a range of creative digital contexts, with demonstrable skill in 2D and 3D creative software through practical studio-based workshops. Experience of working in 360 filming or XR applications would be additionally valuable.
The post involves preparation for and delivery of tutorials, workshops, demonstrations, lectures, critiques, assessments and seminars. A commitment to preparing students for employment and an aptitude for innovative learning and teaching activities including on-line materials and blended learning are essential.
