Part-time Hourly Lecturers – Computer Science (Games Development)
We are seeking to appoint Lecturers with the skills and experience to join our team of dedicated Games staff to teach on BSc (Hons) Games Development.
The successful candidates will possess a comprehensive knowledge of the technical and creative demands of games development, with demonstrable skills in software engineering, programming (C++, Python) and mathematics, with a games development background and experience of/commitment to learn Unreal Engine 4 / Blueprint Visual Scripting. You will be able to bring your knowledge and experience of industry standards to the requirements for undergraduate study on BSc awards that are clearly focused on preparing students for professional employment.
You will have the ability to deliver technical skills to undergraduate students in a creative, engaging and imaginative way, through project based learning, with the experience to deliver workflow pipelines from inception to deployment. Candidates will be able to deliver and develop innovative learning and teaching strategies including online materials and a hybrid learning of in person and digital, combined with an ability to work closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. The post involves preparation for and delivery of tutorials, workshops, demonstrations, lectures, critiques, assessments and seminars. You will also be enthusiastic about collaboration, working in particular with our award winning BA (Hons) Games Art and Design course.
