We are seeking to appoint an Employability Adviser to work within our award-winning Business and Employability team.
The postholder will deliver Employability sessions for every course, ranging from lectures to interactive sessions – so good communication skills, both in-person and online are vital. They will work with students 1:1 and in small groups to support career planning.
Career planning and employability at NUA is based on a person-centred, gamified approach, NUA Profile, which was the recipient of a Guardian University Award in 2019. Careers and Employability preparation is fully integrated into every NUA curriculum, enabling students to reflect and build on the specialist and transferrable skills they develop as part of their course. The post-holder will work closely with the academic team to tailor their content to each specialist area, whilst also helping students to see the wider range of job roles open to them through the transferrable skills they have developed as part of their degree.
The Employability Adviser will work in small, innovative team to further develop and improve our approach. A successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the ability combine creative thinking with a hands-on approach, driven by a desire to connect our graduates to high quality employment.
