Educational Developer

We are seeking to recruit a fulltime Educational Developer to join the Learning and Teaching team at NUA. The University is dedicated to excellence in creative arts teaching as the foundation of a transformative student experience.

This new role will enable us to advance our excellent student experience through further expansion and implementation of hybrid learning and teaching and development of a holistic and inclusive approach to learning which puts the student at the centre of our approach.

The role involves working closely with the Deans of Faculty and Educational Development Coordinator to evaluate, implement and promote learning technologies across the University. You will be involved in designing and evaluating research projects which put pedagogic theory into practice and involve students and staff as stakeholders.

You will work at both institutional level, creating adaptable teaching resources for general use, and at course level to enhance specific areas of learning, teaching and assessment that require attention.

The successful candidate will be an engaging advocate of hybrid learning who has the ability to work with staff and students in the process of enhancing course design for the benefit of all stakeholders. You will have a good understanding of contemporary digital learning environments and the technologies they encompass; ideally you will have experience of using MS365 and Moodle in an educational setting is desirable.

You will have a strong understanding of the diverse needs of learners and may have a background in teaching, training or research. You will be well-versed in visual communication and, ideally, understanding of university level study in the creative arts. An enthusiasm for successfully delivering evidence-based enhancements is welcomed.

Salary: £28,331 to £32,817 per annum
