Year three student announced first runner-up at London Fashion Week competition 2016

Year three student Alice Potts was announced first runner-up in the prestigious FAD Competition final, organised by Fashion Awareness Direct. The event is hosted by Fashion Scout, as part of their official schedule for London Fashion Week, and featured designs by 17 undergraduate designers from 16 different UK universities. It is the only collaborative, undergraduate showcase of its kind to take place on the London catwalk. Julian Fuller, Head of Design at Debenhams presented Alice with her first runner-up award of £500. He described her collection as a ‘stand out entry’. Alice’s designs featured interlocked, neoprene jackets and origami paper silk tops, all made with minimal stitching.
