Students work with artist Evan Ifekoya at Wysing Arts Centre

Wysing Arts Centre

A small group of BA (Hons) Fine Art students participated in a performance workshop, specially arranged for NUA on 1st March, working with the artist Evan Ifekoya. Evan gave a talk at NUA back in January 2017, and students were able to submit proposals for the workshop after her talk. The 1-day workshop took place at Wysing Arts Centre where Evan is currently showing her work in the group exhibition All Channels Open. Students spent the day generating experimental writing, performing spoken word and discussing the outcomes with Evan. Participating students included Year one students Coco O’Brien and Kimberley Warder, and third year students James Tomlin, Gemma Carson, Leonela Helm, Molly Aldous and Holly Priestly. Previous NUA workshops at Wysing Arts Centre have brought BA Fine Art students into contact with the artists Kit Craig, Alice Theobald, Cécile B Evans, Laure Prouvost and Mark Aerial Waller.
