Students join national design academy programme

UK Design Council

Second year students, Chelsea Carter and Natalie Sowa took part in ‘Design Academy’, a development and professional learning programme at Design Council UK. Both students successfully applied to the programme led by leading Design professional, Neil Gridley in London and spent two weeks preparing a design concept in response to the brief ‘Design for Care’, addressing student wellbeing as their chosen theme. Chelsea and Natalie were featured on the Design Council website about their experience, with Natalie sharing her thoughts on the programme, “I took away three things that I now intend to focus on throughout my career: how people use / interact with my design, maximizing the potentials of visual communication, and approaching problems in new and better ways.”
