Retailer thrilled with student’s brand redesign

Year Three BA (Hons) Graphic Design student Andrew Kitchener has been presented with £150 of vouchers from high street retailer Optical Express after he researched and redesigned the company’s brand for a final degree show project. The new logo for the eye care provider incorporates a pair of spectacles and drew attention when he posted it on social media. While Optical Express has no immediate plans to adopt the new branding, Norwich clinic manager Andy Farren commented: “As a team, we really make an effort to get involved with the local community so we’re thrilled that Andrew chose to focus on Optical Express. It’s a great design and we are grateful to Andrew for his creativity.”
