Graduate wins top London ad agency placements
Josh’s response to a brief entitled “Empower the Homeless” was one of the winners of the D&AD’s Jolt competition.
His prize is a series of 10 placements at London ad agencies such as Mother and BBH, each lasting eight weeks.
The process has seen Josh attend a five-day Boot Camp at D&AD and Rich Mix – spanning seminars and workshop and including talks from ad industry professionals including Dayoung Yun, Creative Director at Pablo, Jo Wallace from J. Walter Thompson, and Walter Campbell, the most awarded black pencil winner of all-time.
The Jolt competition brief asked for ideas to “empower homeless people to help themselves”.
Josh’s concept and design was for an app called Sheltr which would highlight the location of points of help and amenities – from soup kitchens to health facilities – and also nearby friends.
