Norfolk Contemporary Art Society Prize 2020
Five BA Fine Art graduates selected for the Norfolk Contemporary Art Society Prize
Congratulations to BA Hons Fine Art students Grace Farman, Eleanor Marshman, Daniel Randall, Sammy Tapp and Anna Ward who were shortlisted for the annual Norfolk Contemporary Art Society (NCAS) Prize.
Generously awarded each year by members of the NCAS Committee, the prize is worth £500 and is presented to a graduating Fine Art student who has excelled in their studies and demonstrated this in their outstanding final exhibition.
After viewing the NUA Graduate Showcase the NCAS Committee named Anna Ward the 2020 prize-winner. The committee particularly enjoyed Anna’s work Woven Ground but also her exploration of fabrics, threads and weaving.
Special mention must also go to Grace Farman, Eleanor Marshman, Daniel Randall and Sammy Tapp who’s work was highly commended by the committee.
“Choosing an award winner is always difficult as it is impossible to compare different forms, styles and mediums in art, especially viewing online. The standard and quality of work in the NUA Graduate Showcase was as high as ever, despite the added challenges students may have had.”
Chris Mardell, NCAS Chair
