During my year at NUA, I have had the chance to push my boundaries and completely devote myself to my practice. Throughout the MA program, I learned new ways of thinking about design, which have challenged me to try new things and create my own unique voice.

I have especially focused on developing and improving my skill in calligraphy and hand drawn lettering, which I intend to continue throughout my career. I am very drawn to handmade typography and how it makes a piece of design come to life and stand out. I have always loved to make things by hand and my MA work reflects this in the way I combine traditional craft and imagery with contemporary digital methods of designing. I strive to create work that is modern and relevant using all of today’s ever-changing tools, but also with those tools that will never get old; pencil, ink, paper, and my hands.
