I am an illustrator, animator and video artist. I also teach English as a foreign language and am interested in presenting information in different ways, to make learning more personal, intimate or funny.

I studied Biomedical Science at undergraduate and for my final project I am trying to create an interactive animated video presenting the process of gene expression. I am trying to employ some of the methods from teaching English (personalising information, movement, games) together with moving image, to explain the biological process in an exciting way.

I am using animation (After Effects and Flash) and VJ Software (Resolume Avenue) to create a visually engaging film and I am also using Isadora to create a sensor whereby the film will only play if a person dances in front of the film or speaks in a funny voice.

My other projects this term include an educational video about product service systems, a promotional video for a remote language-learning system, a graphic novel about Schizophrenia and an animated story about consumer over-choice.

I am also involved in film screening and music events with exploding cinema and freakaholics anonymous.
