My work is concerned with ideas of physical and psychological containment and release.

We find often find ourselves in places and spaces that are familiar and alien, or disconcerting, at the same time. Spaces that we inhabit which may have a sense of familiarity or unease, that repel or draw us within, are significant interests in my practice.

‘…in the concrete reality of today’s world, places and spaces, places and non-places intertwine and tangle together. The possibility of non-place is never absent from any place. Places and non-places are opposed (or attracted) like the words and notions that enable us to describe them.’
