My current practice involves an implementation of process based criteria and methodologies to painting. The inspirations for the subjects in my work derive from an aesthetic interest in modern and organic architecture and their interrelated relationship with natural form. The formal contrasts at work are broken down to an incomplex state and become manipulated shapes. This contrast of shapes becomes a formal precept and is exercised through images from memory, design and nature. When exhibiting work I’m interested in presenting a dialogistic display of images that each sit somewhere inbetween a prop and a singularly objective image or painting.
