Arts Award support

As part of our commitment to engage visitors of all ages with art, design and media, NUA Gallery is a proud supporter of the Arts Award.

We welcome and encourage students from outside the University to explore our exhibitions as part of their school projects and the Arts Award programme.

In order to help understand and explore the works and artists who exhibit in our gallery space, Arts Award participants will receive:

  • A free booklet about the current exhibition
  • A copy of the accompanying press release
  • For school and college groups we are able to provide tailored workshop activities that tie in with the work on show

Participants can visit the gallery during our standard opening hours; groups at other times by prior arrangement. Exhibition material is available to take away from the gallery office, or you can ask the invigilator for more information. The press release is available on request, please contact the gallery office by email at gallery@nua.ac.uk or ask at the information desk.

A visit to our gallery also helps young learners discover more about current art, design and media practice, and enrich the context in which they consider future paths within or outside of education.

If you would like to find out more about how we can support you or your students with the Arts Award, please contact our resident Arts Award adviser Tom Rollett at t.rollett@nua.ac.uk.
