Technician: Moving Image

18.5 hours per week
£12,879 to £14,918 per annum

To develop our on-going commitment to a high quality student experience, we are seeking to recruit an additional member of technical staff to join our successful team in the Media Workshops, providing specialist resources to support the capture, editing and post-production of digital moving image and sound.

The successful candidate will be a skilled Technician with proven professional experience of digital moving image and sound production, working in a commercial or Higher Education environment. The successful applicant will be expert in a range of moving image and sound skills and able to support students to produce high quality results.

Experience and knowledge of maintaining, organising and managing digital video and audio production equipment will be an advantage.

Our academic staff are leading practitioners and researchers in the fields of the arts, design and media. They are available to provide expert comment on regional, national and international news stories related to higher education and the creative arts.

On campus filming and photography

All camera crews and photographers need advance permission to operate on the NUA campus. Alternatively the University has a wealth of photography and footage which can be provided on request.


Members of the press are welcome to attend all events at NUA. Most exhibitions on the campus, including the Degree Shows, will have a private view event in advance of the public opening for the press and special guests. Details of these events are available on request.
