Norwich University of the Arts has a responsibility for ensuring that the research conducted by its staff and students maintains the highest possible standards of integrity, is conducted in accordance with the law, and is consistent with best practice.
Through the Consortium for Research Excellence, Support and Training (CREST), the University is also a signatory of the Concordat to Support Research Integrity (2012). The Concordat focuses on the following core principles, maintaining that these are integral to research in all disciplines:
The University’s Research Strategy, 2015-2020 reiterates our commitment to the development of an environment that support a spectrum of staff and student research and consultancy activities. The University’s Code of Practice on Research Ethics provides guidelines on the standards of conduct required by all staff and students engaged in research, scholarly activity, consultancy, knowledge transfer and professional practice; the Research Ethics Checklists, review procedures and training support staff and students in translating best-practice in research ethics to their disciplines.
