MA Communication Design provides a natural progression for careers in Graphic/Web Design, Art Directing, Desktop Publishing, Design Consultancy, Marketing, Advertising and teaching at FE and HE level. Students may also choose to progress to PhD level.

Since graduating I’ve got involved with a start-up company in San Francisco developing a social game that brings mobile game-play to real-time events like sports, reality shows and aware ceremonies. I was responsible for the overall design and direction of the game’s UX/interface, navigation, flow, art, assets, colour styling etc. I’ve also art directed and published a book for an author. I hope I can continue to produce digital and print in the near future, but I’m always on the look out for interesting new ideas and opportunities.

NUA gave me the freedom to explore different mediums and break out of my shell as a designer. I found two new passions – calligraphy and screen printing – which I continue to practise today. I wouldn’t be where I am today without my time at NUA.
