Head of Quality

£37,756 to £45,053 per annum

We are seeking to appoint a Head of Quality to lead in the development and delivery of the University’s quality management and enhancement activities.

Reporting to the Academic Registrar you will have responsibility for ensuring that the University’s policies, strategies and administrative procedures are consistent with the expectations of the QAA and HEFCE and take a lead role in the preparations for external audit including the QAA Higher Education Review.

Educated to degree level, you will have significant experience of working in a quality assurance or quality enhancement role in a higher education institution, and will be committed to excellent service delivery in support of our high quality student experience.

The successful candidate will line manage a team of staff located in the Academic Registry.

Our academic staff are leading practitioners and researchers in the fields of the arts, design and media. They are available to provide expert comment on regional, national and international news stories related to higher education and the creative arts.

On campus filming and photography

All camera crews and photographers need advance permission to operate on the NUA campus. Alternatively the University has a wealth of photography and footage which can be provided on request.


Members of the press are welcome to attend all events at NUA. Most exhibitions on the campus, including the Degree Shows, will have a private view event in advance of the public opening for the press and special guests. Details of these events are available on request.
