User experience design involves consideration and analysis of the way that people encounter digital interfaces, products and environments in their everyday lives.
It allows designers, developers and manufacturers to test the public response to their websites, products and spaces to ensure they are easy to use, accessible, inviting and functional. It invites designers to consider the emotional aspects of their work along with the functional and aesthetic ones.
The new BSc (Hons) User Experience Design* course is designed to provide you with the broad skills and knowledge required to enter a career in this increasingly sought-after area. Following a general year learning the basics of design, coding and research methods you will start to specialise and become more familiar with both the technical and digital aspects of design and development while gaining a strong understanding of the psychology of user needs and an in-depth knowledge of methods for data gathering analysis and interpretation required to make appropriate design decisions which enhance the user experience.
Further information on this course will be available shortly.
