The Bishop’s Art Prize winners have been announced as Georgia Dodson, Joe Baker (both BA Fine Art) and Aviva Leigh (BA Textiles). Georgia won £1,000 for her first placed entry ‘Goldfinches and Thistle Seeds’, Joe was awarded £500 for his second placed work ‘Slaver/Tanker’ and Aviva scooped the £250 prize for her third placed piece ‘Each day is a journey, and the journey itself is home’.

The Bishop’s Art Prize is an annual student art competition supported by the Bishop of Norwich, the Rt Revd Graham James. He shared judging duties with Professor John Last, Vice-Chancellor of NUA, and artist Susan Gunn who graduated from NUA with a BA in Fine Art.
The works have gone on display with the five other shortlisted pieces in an exhibition that is open to the public in St Peter Hungate Church on Princes Street in Norwich. The exhibition is open until Saturday 11th June (11am-3pm Tuesday – Friday, 10am-4pm Saturday).
