Working in the Media Lab, a team of specialist technicians will support your use of 3D production hardware and software including Autodesk Entertainment, Creation Suite, ZBrush, Silo, Corel Painter and Adobe Creative Suite. For video capture, edit, production and 2D animation you’ll use Maya, Adobe Creative Suite and Final Cut Pro.
You will also use the Drawing workshops and Model Making workshop and you can borrow portable film equipment from the Media Resource Centre. All Year Three students have been supported by the University with student membership of the UK Interactive Entertainment Association. The course has gained membership of the PlayStation First Academic Advisory Board.
The Monastery Media Lab is a fully refurbished Victorian school building which provides industry standard digital facilities, lecturing and presentation studios for the University’s Faculty of Media.

For students to study and evaluate games on a range of platforms, with access to gaming consoles, games and peripherals.
Facility for certification in Apple’s professional applications.
The course is part of the PlayStation®First Academic Partnership Programme offered by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE). The course has been awarded PlayStation®First status by fostering best practices in game related art and design.
